The SW Houston TMC Nurse Honor Guard is dedicated to honoring nurses at the end of life. Our mission is to provide a dignified and respectful service that acknowledges the selfless dedication and compassion shown to others.
Who We Are
We pay tribute, “The Nightingale Tribute” to any nurse, for their selfless dedication to their patients and to the Nursing profession at their end of life. Nurses from Southwest Houston and the Texas Medical Center are voluntarily present at funeral homes, places of worship, and at the bedside in various healthcare settings.

At SW Houston TMC Nurse Honor Guard, we uphold values of integrity, compassion, respect, and excellence. We believe the nurse devotedly, wholeheartedly, and genuinely cares for others and we desire to not only honor the nurse's legacy, but ensure that same compassion, attention, and devotion is shown to those who loved them.
